What do I do if I think my order is lost? 

Lost orders are just the worst! Don’t worry, we won’t leave you hanging.

If Australia post or your carrier hasn’t updated your tracking info, sometimes it’s just because the tracking scans are delayed. Carriers do not always scan packages initially when they're collected from our warehouse, but usually are scanned once they get to the first distribution center. At times, shipments will suddenly resurface in transit, be out for delivery, or even be delivered.

Because tracking scan delays have become more frequent since COVID, our fulfilment centre has required we wait 14 days without a tracking update before we are able to file a lost in transit claim. Thankfully, this is due to how often packages suddenly resurface.

If your order has gone 10 days or more without a tracking update, please reach out to us at caowells@mail.com with your order number, and we'd be happy to help get a claim filed and replacement shipped if necessary.

Please note: After 90 days we are no longer able to file a claim for a lost order. Because of this, we will not be able to refund you for the lost item but can either issue you store credit or a replacement order.

If a return is required we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

5. Beard Wash: Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture to prevent mold growth. Ensure the container is tightly sealed to maintain the consistency of the product.

2. What causes beard balm or wax crystallisation and how do prevent and fix?

What causes a beard balm or wax to crystallise?

Due to Australian weather or temperatures during transit cause beard balm or wax to be prone to melting. This causes the products to solidify again once back in a cooler environment or the temp drops but it solidifies unevenly casing crystallisation. It is not an indication of a poor quality product.

3. Is a beard balm or wax ruined if it has crystallisation?

No it is fine but if you don’t like the texture follow the below instructions to prevention it from happening and steps to fix it.

Prevention:

1. Store in a cool, dry place: Keep your beard balm away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent crystallisation.
2. Use clean tools: Avoid introducing moisture into the balm by using clean hands or tools when scooping out the product.
3. Seal tightly: Ensure the lid is tightly closed after each use to minimize exposure to air, which can contribute to crystallization.

Fixing crystallization:

1. Warm the balm: Place the container of beard balm in a bowl of warm water or use a hairdryer on a low setting to gently warm the balm until it’s a liquid. Be cautious not to overheat it.
2. Stir: Stir it thoroughly with a clean utensil to redistribute the ingredients and break up any crystals.
3. Allow to cool: Let the balm cool down in the fridge straight away after storing do not let it cool at room temperature. This helps to stabilize its consistency and prevent further crystallization.
4. Repeat if necessary: If crystallization persist occurs the product is still fine even if you choose not to reheat it, if happens again repeat the warming and stirring process until the balm returns to its desired texture.

9. How often should I wash and groom my beard?

Allowing your beard to live in its natural oils for long periods keeps it healthy. We recommend wash your facial hair with our dedicated beard wash or mustache wash 2 - 3 times per week max.

Grooming is all down to the individual. If you are grooming to look fresh or growing your beard - less is more.

10. What is the difference between Cowells whipped beard butter and beard balm?

Cowells Grooming Products uses Australia Post for shipping. Due Australia Post some deliveries maybe delayed and out of our control. If you are in Australia generally 3 - 7 business days on average. If you are outside Australia 2 - 3 weeks on average. You receive tracking on all orders.

18. How do I return my products if I am unhappy with them?
